In her residency battle with ex-husband Guy Ritchie, pop diva Madonna has been given temporary permission to take her two sons to the US.
The two kids - eight-year-old Rocco and three-year-old adopted boy David - will join their sister Lourdes, 12, in New York.
The move might be made permanent soon, reported thesun.co.uk.
“Everything is going to be resolved in the next couple of weeks.
Everything is going well. It's pretty amicable at the moment.
Things are progressing,”said a source close to the the pop star. Madonna's spokeswoman, however, refused to comment on her post-divorce plans.

Madonna, who recently announced she's divorcing Guy Ritchie, has reportedly advised Britney Spears never to marry again.
According to reports, the 'Material Girl' has told Britney, who divorced Kevin Federline in 2006, not to walk down the aisle again, reports China Daily.
Earlier this month, Britney joined the 50-year-old diva on stage at a performance as part of her 'Sticky and Sweet' world tour.
"Britney asked Madonna if she will ever marry again after her split from Guy. Madonna not only said she wouldn't but told Britney to forget about marriage. She said it just doesn't work for girls like them," a source close to Madonna told gossip website AbsoluteNow.com.
The source added, "Madonna clearly sees a lot of herself in Britney because she seems very eager to help her."
Madonna and Britney have been friends since they appeared together at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2003, where they infamously shared a kiss on stage. Britney also collaborated with Madonna on her 2003 hit 'Me Against the Music'.
Guy Ritchie has apparently claimed that his marriage to Madonna took the tumble when the singer began scheduling their sex life in her diary, adjusting it after her workout sessions.
The 40-year-old reportedly revealed that Madonna regulated her life with such a strict routine that she had even started planning their private moments well in advance.
The Brit director claimed he was put off from spending time with his wife since she chose to prioritise her fixation with the exercising routines and Kabbalah religion.
"With her time being so precious to her, and with there being more important things to her like spending three of four hours in the gym every day, it become just another thing in the diary,” the Daily Telegraph quoted a source, as telling the Daily Mail.
“In the last couple of years, it was all schemed into the diary. Guy of course felt this a tremendous turn-off to be at the same level of importance as, for example, her gym sessions and kabbalah meetings. As a consequence, their sex life died more than a year ago.
"It is no exaggeration to say that they had not shared a bed in a year when the divorce was announced. And when the sex died for them, the marriage was doomed,” the source added.
Guy Ritchie had apparently told his friends that he had almost no sex life with wife Madonna as she was obsessed with her daily four-hour workout regime.
Guy is said to have made repeated pleas claiming that they should spend more time with each other but was turned down by the singer owing to her fixation with her exercising routine.
He got more and more frustrated as she spent nearly half the day working out. Afterwards she’d be too tired to make love, News of the World quoted a close pal of the couple as saying.
And towards the end Guy wouldn’t be there. He’d get fed up waiting for her and go down the pub with his mates, the pal added.
The close friend further revealed that even when the couple did indulge themselves in acts of passion, Guy reportedly felt he lay with a bunch of bones.
The friend said: After a few drinks one evening Guy said it was like cuddling up to a piece of gristle.
All the soft feminine tones have been replaced by the build of an athlete.

The 'Hung Up' singer will perform the song at the London leg of the music extravaganza, which she is rumoured to be headlining.

However the pressures of a new baby plus the criticism the pair received due to the whirlwind adoption of David has reportedly strained their relationship.
Madonna's passion for the Jewish mystical tradition Kabbala and her reportedly controlling tendencies have also led to the breakdown of the couple.
"They're in total meltdown and row non-stop whenever they see each other," a source close to the couple tells the newspaper.
"They've been at loggerheads for a while and now hardly do anything together. They're even spending more and more nights in separate bedrooms."
However the final straw was said to be when Ritchie decided not to accompany Madonna on a return trip to Malawi.
"They're a united front when their children are involved. This was clearly visible when they were pictured this week out in the park as a family. But behind closed doors they barely speak," the friend warned.

The 48-year-old singer has been in the impoverished country of Malawi on the continent this week, sparking speculation that she is to adopt again.
Pictures have also been published of one child, a three-year-old known as Grace, who is said to have melted the MATERIAL GIRL's heart.
One source told the Sun: "She [Madonna] saw footage of Grace and asked for another 15 minutes.
"She said: 'That girl has so much love in her. I want to help her to achieve her potential'."
However, Madge, who adopted 18-month-old baby boy David Banda last year, has maintained she is only in the country to help aid poverty stricken locals.
Her agent told the newspaper last night that Madonna had not even met Grace and that she "has no plans to adopt her or any other children".
After spending some £1.6 million on an orphan day care centre in Mphandula, she attended its opening this week where hundreds of children sang hymns and performed dances for her.
Ahead of the singer's trip to the African country tomorrow, Athnette Mwale claims that charity workers told her and her son Yohane – David's father –Madonna "would return for another child very soon".
Yesterday Madonna's publicist vehemently denied that she was planning to adopt another baby.
"She is overseeing the building of a children's health care centre," said Liz Rosenburg.
But 57-year-old Athnette told the Sun: "I have prayed to God that my boy will have a sister to play with from his own country.
"When the adoption people came to speak to Yohane about David they said Madonna would give him the best life in the world. And they promised that she would find him a sister, another orphan from Malawi."
Madonna has reportedly "set her heart" on adopting a three-year-old girl called Grace after seeing documentary footage of her.
The singer's two children, Lourdes, ten, and Rocco, six, will accompany her on her trip to Africa, which will include an audience with former South African president Nelson Mandela in Johannesburg.
This is not the first time Howson has painted the luscious diva, and he admits that he has never actually ‘fancied her’, but has got a ‘thing about her’.
“I've never actually fancied her but I admit I've got a thing about her,” the Daily Mail quoted Howson, as saying.
The artist's agent Matthew Flowers said that Howson is obsessed with Madonna, and there are rumours that Ritchie was actually a bit jealous about the earlier pics of his wife.

MADONNA is moving her family from London to New York to be closer to her ailing dad as he fights cancer.
The Queen Of Pop, who now lives almost permanently in the UK, has already been Stateside to see Tony Ciccone twice this year.
Her fears for his deteriorating health have forced her to uproot the family from London and plan for them to spend much more time in the US.
Her film director hubby GUY RITCHIE has been busy working in LA and she is now trying to find a new family home in New York.
A source said: “Madonna, Guy and the kids are definitely moving to New York this year.
“The deal is to spend as much time there as in London — if not more.
“Guy hasn’t been as keen on the idea but Madonna is insisting they are moving.”
Madonna’s dad has been receiving treatment for colon cancer in Leelanau County Hospital, Michigan, which is relatively close to New York.
Recent reports suggested he was making good progress — but Madge fears he is putting on a brave face to benefit family and friends.
My source told me: “Madonna’s dad is going through the mill and she wants to be there for him and to help his spirits by letting him see more of his grandchildren.
“Guy is working more and more in LA on his new TV show, a film project and a documentary.
“The move will be a big upheaval but Madonna needs to be near her dad and the support network of her closest friends.”
Madge is also cracking on with a new album, with the work split between Los Angeles and London.
She decided it would make sense to be based on the East Coast in The Big Apple, splitting the distance between her US commitments.
But she will not be selling her current New York apartment, London house or her Wiltshire estate any time soon.
She has decided the NY pad isn’t big enough for the whole family since the adoption of one-year-old Malawi tot David Banda.
I can reveal Madge has narrowed the search for a new house down to two properties.
One is a flat and the other an impressive townhouse — what they do have in common is an asking price of more than £20m.
And she has made it clear the new place is HER buy and will be in HER name — without any mention of Guy.
There’s no doubt who wears the trousers in that marriage.
Acknowledging that she’s a big fan of the show, Madonna is set to join the cast of hit plastic surgery drama Nip/Tuck.
According to Hollywood.com, the show’s creator, Ryan Murphy, revealed that he’s currently scripting a role for the pop megastar.
Murphy stated that the ideal situation would see Madonna play opposite her former co-star and friend, Rosie O’Donnell. Rosie has become a regular on the show after making headlines for a sex scene she filmed with Nip/Tuck star Julian McMahon last season.
Madonna isn’t the only big name being thrown around for upcoming episodes. Hollwood.com also reports that Nicole Kidman has already signed on for a cameo and there is word that Sandra Bullock has shown interest in a role.
Julian McMahon informed us, “Sandy said she wanted to come on last year and she didn’t. She wants to come on the last episode and she wants to get her whole body done, or something.”
While that obviously is not necessary, the powerful line-up of guest stars does bode well for F/X’s hit show.
Angelina Jolie has slammed pop superstar Madonna for adopting Malawian child David Banda in an "illegal" manner.
Jolie, who has two adopted children of her own, thinks Madonna went about finding a child to adopt in the wrong way.
Madonna brought one-year-old David to the U.K. from his home country of Malawi late last year. He will stay with Madonna and her husband Guy Ritchie for 18 months before Malawian officials decide whether or not they are legally able to adopt the child.
In an interview with French magazine Gala, Jolie says, "Madonna knew the situation in Malawi, where he was born. It's a country where there is no real legal framework for adoption.
"Personally, I prefer to stay on the right side of the law. I would never take a child away from a place where adoption is illegal."
However, Jolie believes Madonna's intentions were good and is amazed at the media reaction to her adoption.
She adds, "I have been horrified by the attacks she's been subjected to. All that should count is the happiness of her little David."

Madonna has been criticised by an animal rights group for wearing what it said was a real chinchilla fur coat as she left a London restaurant.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) accused the singer of ignoring cruelty of animals.
It urged her to watch videos of animals being farmed for their pelts.
A spokesman for Madonna - who is set to design a range of clothing for high street chain H&M - said he was unable to comment.
Poorva Joshipura, director of Peta Europe, said: "We encourage anyone who wears fur to watch videos of these animals being electrocuted, caught in traps and skinned alive.
"Thousands of people, including Paris Hilton, have said that the videos changed their minds about wearing fur.
"Chinchillas are shy, intelligent animals who can live for up to 15 years in the wild. Yet on fur farms, these animals are violently killed while fully conscious."
Accessories
Meanwhile, it has been announced that Madonna is to design a range of clothes for H&M.
The clothing line - including wardrobe staples and accessories - will be launched in March 2007.
H&M said the M by Madonna range would reflect the singer's "timeless, unique and always glamorous style".
It is the second time the 48-year-old pop singer has collaborated with H&M.
The firm also provided an off-stage wardrobe for her Confessions world tour and the singer also designed a tracksuit for H&M.
According to H&M's website, the company does not sell any fur products and only sells leather from sheep, pigs, goats and cattle that have been bred for meat production.
