According to the Daily Mail, the supermodel had been dining with friends at the trendy China Tang restaurant at the Dorchester Hotel in Park Lane but was snapped by photographers arriving at her home at midnight with stains on her trousers.
The paper noted that Kate, who caused controversy in 2005 after photos were published allegedly showing her snorting cocaine, could have been more careful as the white marks "could be misconstrued".
Kate's career surged following the photos two years ago, with her earnings shooting up to three times the amount she attracted before the scandal.
Earlier in the week Kate launched her highly anticipated clothing line at Topshop in London's Oxford Street to hordes of screaming fashionistas, with many items getting snapped up in minutes.
But while some were appearing in internet auction site eBay within hours, attracting bids of more than £200 each, other items were left discarded on hangers.
The British rocker is planning to get his penis pierced, and has booked an appointment at a North London tattoo parlour Camden Cold Steel.
A source told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper that the singer will be getting the intimate piercing before the end of the week.
“Pete has booked the piercing appointment for later this week,” Hollywoodrag.com quoted the source, as telling the paper.
The source also insisted that the idea was not a spur-of-the-moment plan, but something that Doherty has been playing around with for some time.
The insider added that Doherty has also gone for the ‘most painful’ piercing, as he wanted to wear large pieces of jewellery.
“He has been thinking about it for a while. He is so excited and has managed to keep it a secret from Kate so far. He’s gone for the most painful 14mm hole because he wants to wear large pieces of jewellery,” the source revealed.
And the timing couldn’t be any better, for as Moss is away working on her fashion line, Doherty plans to have a real surprise in store for her when she returns

The unlikely couple have already viewed properties in London's Regent's Park and Primrose Hill and have put aside a staggering £5million to pay for the lovenest.
Kate's, 33, friends are said to be shocked by her decision considering Pete's, 28, unreliable nature.
'Everyone is amazed they're looking for a joint mortgage,' a friend told the Sunday Mirror. 'It's rather romantic.
'But Kate's more conservative mates have been saying it's madness given Pete's reputation as a wildman. He's not the first person you think of when it comes to financial stability. But they are both giddy about it and see it as a pledge of their love.'

Kate Moss' publicist has spoken out about the reports of Moss' secret wedding to Pete Doherty in Thailand on New Years day.
Obviously Moss & Doherty were in Thailand on holiday but they did not get married.
The statement which was released on Tuesday says: "Contrary to various entirely false media reports, there has not been any kind of marriage ceremony in Thailand. She is on holiday."
None the less, friends that were with the couple on the Thai holiday said that they 'were on good form & seemed really happy'.
But there are still reports that Moss & Doherty will officially wed on January 18, because Kate told friends to keep that date free.
